The Secret Abductions of Iran, China, and North Korea
Jamshid Sharmahd is a German-Iranian journalist and software engineer, who has been living in the United States for more than 20 years.
In the spring of 2020, Jamshid traveled to India to do a business deal for his software company, but his return home was disrupted by the outbreak of the Coronavirus, leaving him unexpectedly stranded at the Dubai airport. Jamshid checked into a hotel in Dubai until he could work out his flight arrangements. That was the last time his family heard from him.
Jamshid was kidnapped from his Dubai hotel room by Iranian agents, secretly smuggled into neighboring Oman, and then back to Iran where he has been jailed, tortured, and threatened with death.
The same thing was experienced by Michael Gui, a Swedish-Chinese writer who had published 200 books about the politicians of China. He was in Thailand writing a book about China’s President Xi, when one day he disappeared. His travel bag was not packed, his medication was left on the counter, and his travel documents were left behind.
Then it was revealed, captured on closed-circuit TV on 17 Oct 2015, that an unknown man had escorted Michael away. A few days later, four mysterious men were seen searching Michael’s apartment. When a manager from the apartment called Michael’s phone, it was answered by a taxi driver who said the phone was left by four men who took Michael to the Cambodian border. There was no sign of Michael leaving Thailand using his passport.
This is state-sponsored kidnapping that is rarely reported and few have ever heard about. Iran and China kidnap their citizens whenever they want, for whatever reasons they want.
Long before Jamshid was abducted in Dubai by Iranian secret agents, Iran had put a hit out on his life. In 2009, Iranian secret agents attempted to assassinate Jamshid in his home in Glendora, California, but it was foiled by U.S. Officials.
China and Iran are not the only ones. North Korea goes one step further. Leader Kim Jong Un had his own brother assassinated in broad daylight in the middle of the crowded Malaysia International Airport during holiday travel.
When North Korea wanted to build up their movie industry, they looked around and didn’t find any good directors or actors, so they sent out a team of men to kidnap a few.
They kidnapped famed South Korean actress Choi Eun-hee from the beaches of Hong Kong. When famous movie director, Shin Sang-ok, flew to Hong Kong to find out what happened to her, the North Koreans kidnapped him as well, putting him on a boat in the middle of the night and taking him to the shores of North Korea.
